Our techniques enable densely populated cities like Hong Kong to revitalize abandoned buildings and achieve urban farming in local communities. The urban aquaponics farming eco-system provides the solution to traditional agriculture problems. It is environmental-friendly and free of external contamination such as heavy metals, pesticides, fertilizers, extreme weathers and natural disasters.
In the report of Vegetable Marketing Organization in Hong Kong, total wholesale amount of vegetables in 2015 and 2016 was over HK$75 billions. However, only 1.5% of total consumed vegetables are locally produced (1,703 tons out of 115,491 tons).
We aim to increase the self-sufficiency rate in agricultural products with our high-efficiency farming system (85% less farming space needed with 30% higher planting efficiency) and provide the community with a healthier choice.
